I guess I should wrap this up...

October 25th, 2010 (09:37 pm)

It's Monday evening, and I've been home since Friday... I suppose I should give this proper closure.

The drive from Salt Lake City to Boise was uneventful, as was the drive home from Boise the day after. I had no car problems, no hotel issues (besides OKC, but really, not the end of the world). No problems with navigating big cities even when my GPS would tell me to turn down streets that didn't exist.

I've pretty much been sleeping ever since I got home. Tomorrow I have a delightful 90 minute massage to hopefully work out all the kinks out of my neck/shoulders, and then through the week I slowly start getting into some sort of schedule. Babysitting Wednesday evening, job interview Friday afternoon. It's always a downer to come home from vacation, but when vacation has lasted over four weeks, it's hard to even know where to begin to get 'normal life' going again.

I've seen so much (I went through: Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, D.C. Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Idaho), yet the curious cat in me wants to see more. Instead of taking the time to reflect on what I've seen/done, I struggle with trying to plan where I will go next.

I need to relax.

I had so much fun! Thank you so much for letting me stay with you and then driving me (and flat!Gibbs) around to see the sights.

What a wonderful and fantastic trip, and you shared it all with us! Thank you for taking us along on the virtual tour. It was fun to meet you for real and to see the USA through your experiences, not to mention how much fun it was to read about the adventures of flat!Gibbs. I am glad you are home safe and I am thinking all good things for job interviews and like that. *lotsa hugs*

And thank you for a place to say (and the introduction to Man from U.N.C.L.E.). I told my mom about the DVD's and she was like "I might like that".... hmm...

Miss you!

it was awesome having you in Tennessee with the plot monkey and myself. next time you visit it'll have to be for a longer period of time so we can hit the neighboring states (just to add on your map of course ;) )

Of course!

I had so much fun hanging out with you guys - I wish it had been longer as well. Also, need time to get properly intoxicated on Beale when I have a day to recover.

Srsly, find me a bigkid job in DC and I am there. I loved it muchly and could easily camp out in those museums (rent? what rent?) they were amazing (the, um, two I saw).

We still need out margarita(s).

And I need your DC address once you are moved in.
