So now the responsible post...
Our first stop in Amarillo was a Walmart to pick up some spray paint to tag these.... So much fun! We spent a solid hour (at least) tagging and taking photos, and once we were done we of course took photos (including flat!Gibbs). It was so much fun!
* After the baseball game we took a carriage ride back to the hotel and passed this awesome buffalo herd. ;)
* Today, after breakfast with Mark Harmon *swoon* we headed to the Cowboy and Indian museum. It was actually pretty dull, and waaaay too much art. Recent art. Like, wow, that was done in 1999... I want to see stuff from the old west.
Next we headed to the OKC bombing memorial and museum. I don't think I could top the photos of the memorial that I got last year, so I didn't take many, but going through the museum was new (and oh so very sad).
This clock was in the federal building and stopped on 9:02 when the blast went off. I don't remember much of it when it happened. I believe I was in Orlando on vacation, and I remember a bit of news coverage, but not much.
*A few things left on the fence outside. So many small personal things left behind.
Tomorrow will be a long day. I'm dropping Caitlin off at the airport at 5:30 and heading up through Kansas City to pick up my dad at the airport in Omaha. It's roughly 8.5 hours of driving, but I won't be late since I'm getting such an early start.
And yep, still swooning.
