The world's largest truckstop? How could I not stop?

Today's drive went really well, and although I was tired, it seemed to go pretty quickly. I basically drove all the way across Iowa. It was pretty, rolling brown'ish/green farmland, much like eastern Washington. Getting out of Chicago was tricky, my gps does fine in the middle of nowhere, but has issues with all the tall buildings (had issues in NYC too). But once I was on the road, I had no problems.

Now that I'm at my hotel, I can't hardly keep my eyes open. I had all these plans for stuff to look up, organize my crap, etc etc, but... it's not gonna happen. I have to be up before noon tomorrow to drive back into Iowa to go to the Danish Heritage Museum. Rumor has it, there is a restaurant or two in Elk Horn that serves Danish food. Yum. Also, I guess the gift shop at the windmill has imports. Hopefully I can find some Danish yummies. I know it's a longshot, but if they have hindbær soda - I will max my credit card for reals, yo.

My hotel in Omaha is pretty nice for what I paid. I'm at a Best Western and it could be that my body is just so exhausted, but the bed is amazing.

Also, I've been looking at the calendar, and now I'm think that I won't take that extra day in Colorado. I'm just too tired, I need to watch my budget and yeah. I arrive Monday evening, will get going early to Colorado Springs then back to Denver for the afternoon/evening, NCIS, sleep, and then head toward Salt Lake City on Wednesday. Spent Thursday night in Boise. Home on Friday. I have mixed feelings because I don't really want to go home, not yet. If I had the money I'd go back the way I came... back out to the East Coast, along the South and then back up the coast (a week at Beverly Beach in Oregon sounds delightful). But at the same time - omg, my bed! My car is in need of organization in a bad way. I feel un-organized and it's messing with my car fung shui (sp?) in a bad way.

Alright, time to sleep. *dreamy sigh*

** Also, I'm still bitter about the lack of a goldfish after one was supposed to be provided at the hotel in Chicago. I even had it planned out as to how I was going to steal it and bring it home with me to give my 3 goldies a new friend! The front desk man, he knows I'm irritated. I should get  a refund.

When you're in Boise, do yourself a huge favor and eat at the Boise Fry Company. Seriously. You won't regret it.

Sounds like something my trainer would frown upon. I shall look it up!
